As an undergrad studying political science and environmental studies, Maggie Winslow ’84 developed an interest in environmental issues and social justice that was encouraged by her adviser Kurt Tauber. After receiving her PhD at UC Berkeley, she was a founding faculty member for the sustainability-focused MBA program at Presidio Graduate School. After nine years teaching managerial economics, she moved to the University of San Francisco to manage the Master of Science in Environmental Management program. Recently she has designed an innovative master’s program in renewable energy to educate students to work on the low-carbon grid. Starting next year she will be the Director of the new Master of Science in Energy Systems Management.
